Legendary perfume from the fashion house Yves Saint Laurent, Opium was first launched in 1977.
With a scandalous and evocative name, Opium is an open door onto an imaginary world, a journey into the unknown, into a dream land of unexpected charm, mysterious, full of sensations and emotions.
An extremely luxurious and sensual fragrance with a disturbing, opulent and provocative trail, simply inimitable, with a spicy oriental harmony.
The composition opens with an aromatic-fruity prelude of mandarin, bergamot and lily of the valley, to then reveal itself with a heart of jasmine, carnation and myrrh. Finally, the deep scent of vanilla, amber, sweet myrrh and patchouli blends on the skin, leaving a trail that ignites desire.
The new Opium bottle, restyled in 2009 by Fabien Baron and Stefano Pilati, creative directors of the maison, is a return to the origins of the myth and is inspired by the Inrô, the precious treasure chest of the warriors of the Far East, symbol of the passage to a fantastic and imaginary universe, a true promise of escape, ecstasy and voluptuousness.
The glass takes on the color of frozen bistro, reminiscent of Chinese lacquer, concealing the fragrance with its smoky and enigmatic nuances. In the center a golden circle, powerful and majestic, like an open window inviting you to escape. Inside a black torchon that immerses itself in the fragrance, symbol of the bond that unites the woman to her perfume.
