Gres Cabochard Eau de Toilette Perfume for Women, 100ML pack
Cabochard is the perfumed image of Alix Gres. Even the name, chosen by Madame Grès herself (in French cabochard means 'stubborn' or 'stubborn') reflects her free spirit and her strength of will.
Cabochard was created after Madame Grès' trip to India. He described a beautiful perfume to the young perfumer Guy Robert: very flowery, rich like tuberose yet softer, contrasted by fresh and light green notes. It was a water hyacinth! After various tests, Madame Grès recognized his perfume. It was light and floral.
Cabochard was launched in 1959 and immediately became very popular; Madame Grès said it reminded her of her walks along the long, empty beaches of India: the sharp freshness of the morning air, the warmth of sandalwood, a touch of flowers and the comfort of the sea breeze.
